How to care for your Vongo
A few simple habits will keep your flask performing at its best for years to come.
Cleaning your Vongo
- Hand wash only. To preserve the double-wall insulation, avoid dishwashers. Use warm water, mild dish soap and a soft sponge or bottle brush.
- Avoid abrasive cleaners. No bleach or chlorine-based products, and no harsh scrubbing pads. They damage the finish.
- Rinse thoroughly. After each use, rinse well with clean water to prevent lingering odours or taste.
- Deep clean now and then. Mix baking soda and vinegar, let it sit for a few hours, then rinse thoroughly.
Keeping it fresh
- Air dry. Store your Vongo with the lid off so it dries completely between uses. This stops mould and odours.
- Look after the lid. Wash the lid components thoroughly, especially the rubber seals, to prevent bacteria build-up.
Best practice
- Avoid extreme heat. Never put your Vongo in the microwave, oven or freezer. The insulation works without any external heating or freezing.
- Handle with care. Your Vongo is tough, but a fall from height can dent the exterior or affect its insulation.
